philth... philth... philth-a-delphia

Have you ever had a irrational and slightly schizophrenic decision consume you.. where all you can do is move like a moth to a flame until it's all over? a year ago May I decided it was time for a change... within 5 business days I had accepted a job, packed 2 suitcases, purchased a one way ticket and taken a sublease sight unseen... Philth-a-dephia or bust!

To say Philadelpia is rough around the edges would be an understatement. Have you ever watched Always Sunny in Philadelphia? I have and I've been to Paddy's Pup which is the only bar in the city you can still legally smoke it. Some weird ass "grandfathered in" rule, where a certain percentage of their business has to be food... which they have and it a crockpot in the corner that serves canned chili.

I was working for a VERY cool compnay, albeit a dead end job, 9 months in I was ready to hightail it back to CA. However I had made great friends, loved my apartment but the philth was too much for me to handle. I was pissed, I didn't want to give up on my dreams of making it in a new place... walking down the street where I didn't know anyone kicking ass and taking names.

It was then I found myself stealing a mattress, renting a Uhaul landing every girls dream job in cosmetics and never looking back... this is where the real journey began.

Adventures in Insanity

Chapter 1: A ride on the wild side

I’m not sure how it happened so quickly; I saw them coming; sirens, lights and Sgt. Baron (I hated that guy) I made a run for it, shit, that pig was on my ass. I closed my eyes prayed to God if he was there let this be the moment I learn to fly. I put my arms out to my sides I could feel the wind blast me to lift off, I was flying higher and higher and just then… what the hell? I came crashing down face first, asphalt impaled my cheeks and if that wasn’t enough I open my eyes to see that asshole Sgt. Baron pulling the tazer barbs out of my side. I knew it wasn’t possible to fly what the hell was thinking praying to God? That damn cop shot me into the air. I could barely breathe; I tried to collect my thoughts then… lights out.

sure shot stella ... a love story

Sure Shot Stella - Depression Era outlaw and bank robber. Robbed her first bank on her 16th birthday with her husband, Bennie Dickson. They were followed by police to a tourist campground gun shots were exchanged. Her husband and her separated there while stealing cars and holding hostages and taking the local authorities on a wild goose chase on the contrysides back roads, shooting out the tires of their patrol cars earning her the name "sure shot." Bennie was shot and killed by FBI agents while Stella was caught and thown in prison for a 10 year sentance. I'm not positive why she is so interesting to me but I think she will be my muse for a book that my BFFF and I are writing. It's a tale like you've never heard... a love story... a mystery and a sonnet.
